Why Design/Build?

It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved in the project when using the Design/Build approach, where the project plans, schedule and budget are formulated simultaneously, early in the process during the pre-construction phase. Design/Build saves the owner time and money, expedites the timing start-to-finish, and eliminates any unwelcome surprises. Design/Build offers owners single source responsibility on the project, an environment of partnership and teaming between the Design/Builder, specialty contractors and owner of the project. Specifically:

Save Money:

  • To control costs - as Design/Builders, Paul Risk Associates offers clients a guaranteed total project cost - before the working design starts. This guarantees the client can afford the project and can  arrange funding early in design development. 
  • The best time to control project costs is in the pre-construction phase - not after a full set of design documents has gone out for construction bids. The project is designed with the budget in mind.
