This beautiful public building is made of steel, metal wall panels, a cementitious stone wall system and a metal roof assembly. Glazed curtain walls provide expansive views of the surrounding areas. The interior is metal stud walls and drywall and themed steel columns surrounded by cementitious stone. The goal to build an environmentally friendly building was reached by utilizing a geothermal HVAC system, the use of recycled materials and low VOC products, special plumbing features and energy efficient lighting. The building design allows for future expansion. Other features include a training room, a drive-up window service, a public meeting room, quiet study rooms, a children’s library and a cafe.
